			can someone tell me if i can purchase  new keys or if i have to change the ignation switch and door locks

			Call the dealer.  If they can do it you will need proper Id and ownership records.

			Then prepare to get bent over. You may want to bring some lube so it won't hurt so much. I paid about $60 for one key.

			E46 keys start at $150 so it could be worse.
