Hi, I have a 1997 328i. The check engine light is on, and the code says crank position sensor. I bought one from Pelican and went to change it, and there is not one there. The hole for it and its mounting bolt is there, but no sensor. Did this car not come with one?

Check to see if your model has the crankshaft sensor mounted near the flywheel of the engine. Check the left side of the engine, near starter.
