Convertible Window Problem?

On my 98 323iC, when I put up the drivers window, it often raises, stops, then goes back down about two inches. The only way I found to get around this is to manually press the button every two seconds. Anyone have this problem or a solution? Thanks!

I have a similar problem with my 96 328iC. It raises the window about two inches and stops. I press the button again and it finishes raising the window automatically.
