God I love that paint.

With the GT2 wing uprights and no actual wing installed the car looks like a stealth fighter!

Okay guys, we're moving getting everything fitted before we restore and repaint everything, we tried getting the original tires to fit first just to see our limits...

Low and behold the tires prove too tall for even the 1974 RSR flares, we'll be running the Pirelli 355/25/19's with a profile of 25.9" which should give *just* enough clearance to get inside the fender well.

More updates soon

Reaper, simply outstanding. I always thought that the 19" wheel was a really clever solution on the part of Porsche's racing dept at the time, which according to Paul Frere, was done to increase the contact patch when rules wouldnt allow them to run wider rubber on their 15" rims. Great that Pirelli is making the 355/19. It's a really awesome (if expensive) tire... The guy that runs iforged put them on the rear of his widebody 996 and i they look wicked.

Good lookin' out JuicerRSR, yeah they're pretty slick from what i've heard. They've received rave reviews from twin turbo'd vette guys and viper guys...and since they're puttin' out the same numbers I am, it seems like a great option.

That 996 has definately had some fender massaging done, wow! Nice presentation on the rims & air step on the hood! Seems some of the wasser khuler guys are envious of the air cooled style!

Boys, you are doing nice things . I'm really curious to see Reapers car ready, plenty of interesting parts to build it, and the satin finished black looks amazing.
High five for the nice progress... .
I also wanted to have center bolts, but they are illegal here in Finland in street. So I have to accept 5-bolt system.
Keep on!

Man it's a shame that they discontinued those 18"x26" fat boys. That us exactly what you need to fill that wheel well.

Better hit the weights, you're gonna need some serious upper body strength to parallel park that bad boy! Ha!

A measley 15" wide...I hope its enough to contain the power from the motor!

Just wow! 315's on the fronts! I thought that was a misprint but nope!

Since you're using center bolts what are you going to use as a "lock" bolt to prevent thieves from taking your wheels? You'll need to hire security guards!

It takes around 493 ft lbs of torque to get the nut off...plus I don't plan on being in places where my car would be at risk for such a thing. But someone walking around with an 8 ft bar with a socket on 1 end would get my attention quickly.
