|
That thing revs so fast.. goodness...
|
This is simply hilarious (spelling...) I remember all the talk during the build of the blackbird (SR-71) Your 935 going to be all Stealthy.
The picture you (Reaper) posted in the RSR coil spring thread is just so much beyond surreal. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1247941295.jpg I guess this poor thing weren't used to vehicles with very low radar profile flying this low. Here I go again, AWESOME :D enjoy your weekend Jesper |

Quaife is a good diff even at Gabe's power level the Motorsport diff comes a schosche ahead along with the Guard differential but they are all very good hardware.

Porsche Motorsport and Guard diffs use clutch packs inside them (not gears) that provide lockup both during acceleration, and also during braking. Folks who are track regulars know the benefits of LSD in the braking zones, and unfortunately, the Quaife does not provide this benefit. That said, it sounds like this car is primarily a street car? In that case, diff lockup during braking is perhaps less of an issue. |
Correct this is a street car that will see moderate track time - but I do have to say with the amount of rubber, braking from mid 150's or slightly more was super stable on the few instances I did harp on her on the way down to texas. She never faultered or hinted at any bit of unbalance under hard braking even while doing it in the non-optimal times when a corner would catch me by surprise.
Something to look into though :) |
you can always try a gaurds diff on RS71.;)
|
Gabe I have a Paul Guard chromoly diff in my car he built it for my car after a few calls among Jim Patrick who built my trans and my then engine builder John Truman.

Well i just finally remembered i did take a pic of the rear wheel that had the most slippage inside the tire...so enjoy the insanity and to quote Keith and Aaron at Zuffenhaus "Its an insane problem to have, but a problem none the less...we could always install a set of bead locs...hahaha"
Hard to see the white paint marker, but you can see it in the close up. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2547/...33159e52_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2583/...bfdce9e9_o.jpg |
That is a "good" problem to have! How does bead locks look? Will it mess up your rims? You could already dial back the boost. Umm, not!
|
If you look at the later 935's they did go to a bead lock setup. 800hp and low tire pressure for max grip will pull the tire right off the rim in a corner.
|
I'd make sure the wheel and tire are completely clean of soap and lube, then use some Aquanet hair spray on each. It acts as a lube and then helps to keep the tire from spinning. A lot of the racers and DE guys do this.
|
Good advice, will try it out.
|
Is the bat cleaned off yet?? You need to mount it in a "shadow box" and hang it in the garage...possibly with a few pictures of the ride....
|
The bat is still on the car :) i'll pull it off one of these days :)
I took the car to get detailed and told them to leave the bat on there...the guy just looked at me funny, then 10 minutes later came in and was like, "Dude there's a freakin' bat plastered on your car!!!!" hahaha, i was like, "yeah, the headlights are kinda low...leave it on there :)" |
I would buy some 3M varnish & glue (try art supplies store), and spray the bat to preserve it permanently on your bumper screen. That is a badge that you should preserve and wear it proudly. This way the bat did not die in vain. :-) Beside, the bat looks awesome on your car. You couldn't planned that if you wanted to. Please keep that bat on your car.
