What Ben needs is the 3LDZ bracket. That is the one all 930's have and must be used for fitment purposes when designing exhaust components.

It is curious that the 965 lists the same part number for the turbo bracket as the 930. As illistrated above, the turbos are different and the K27 requires a bracket mod when installed to replace the stock 3LDZ on a 930. The post-turbo exhaust system on the 965 is completely different than that of the 930, so it stands to reason that if the same bracket is used on both 930/965 then the turbo is oriented slightly different on the 965 than on the 930 and the 965 exhaust system is designed to accommodate.
That also would explain why my mufflers fit differently on a 965. Interesting ...
I said the 930 engine was a carry-over.
Part numbers can be checked on Pelicanparts.

Right, and I stated that the K27 was not. We're on the same page.

Ben, I'm making some calls to locate a bracket. If I cannot find one I'll take it off my engine and send it to you.

So what are the differences between the turbo mounts?

Part numbers: 93012312101, 93012312102, 93012312105 ???

Do they all need to be modified to use a k27 on a 930?

I had a look on mine and it hasn't got a bracket. Not that I have ever had problems I would like to install one for peace of mind.

Not to complicate things but I used part number 930 123 921 05. This is the bracket that Dave refers to on the first page of this thread. It is used on 930 SE and "Special Wishes" cars that came with the K-27 7006 turbochargers. It fit perfect on my '88 with a K-27 7200.
