930 123 121 05 is the correct part number according to the PET.

I don't really care as long as it puts everything in stock location for paul and a few others in on this project. You don't have an extra do you? that would save some shipping time for as you are only a few hours away

930 123 121 05 is the bracket for 1978 to 1993 according to PET.

No, sorry, I don't have one. Just wanted to point out that there are two different brackets that Porsche built for the two different turbochargers. Knowing your welding skills the standard 3LDZ bracket would be a breeze for you to modify for the later K27's. The pic below shows the added section added to the bracket that Porsche did for the Special Wishes cars.

What I am using it for is simply a clocking device so I can build up a HE for stock bolt on for turbo cars in keeping turbos in the stock location

Dave, is this is true please explain why there is only one part number listed in the PET for 1978-1993.

Actually, they changed things around a lot in the latest PET. If you go to the 87-89 911 catalog, go to the Exhaust System, Catalytic Converter, Turbo-charger Group. Scroll through the pages down to the turbocharger and you will see two part numbers for the bracket.
930-123-121-05
930-123-921-05 ; 930.66- S M148
The latter bracket is for the 330BHP engine with a K27-7006 turbocharger. This engine is the one used in the Special Wishes and 930 SE cars before 1987. The nomenclature, 930.66, is the engine series available for the option. M148, "Engine with increased efficiency", is the option code for the 930 SE cars, I believe.

The earlier PET had all all the part numbers for the Special Wishes Slantnose cars, but you had to search like crazy to find them.

Yes, but...
My '91 has the K27 turbo. The number listed for it is 930 123 121 05, which is the number that goes all the way back to '78.
That makes sense to me as the 930 engine in the 965 was carried over by Porsche from '89.

Odd because the 3LDZ on the 1989 and earlier mounts differently than the K27-7200 which is why we all had to modify the early bracket to accept the K27-7200 turbo. The bracket has to be extended as shown in the pic above.

... but the K27 was not a carry over from the 930, it is specific to the 965.

What Ben needs is the 3LDZ bracket. That is the one all 930's have and must be used for fitment purposes when designing exhaust components.

It is curious that the 965 lists the same part number for the turbo bracket as the 930. As illistrated above, the turbos are different and the K27 requires a bracket mod when installed to replace the stock 3LDZ on a 930. The post-turbo exhaust system on the 965 is completely different than that of the 930, so it stands to reason that if the same bracket is used on both 930/965 then the turbo is oriented slightly different on the 965 than on the 930 and the 965 exhaust system is designed to accommodate.
That also would explain why my mufflers fit differently on a 965. Interesting ...

I think you're onto something here.

Not that there will be a great number of people ordering a replacement bracket for their 965 turbo's, I think they're in for a disappointment if they do. That bracket is not going to work on a K27 without the mods mentioned. It stands to reason the bracket is different as the cold and hot sides of the K27 are dimensionally larger. It's got to be a typo error.
I can't find my old PET, but it listed the correct part # for those K-27 equipped engines.
