Decel valve delete question
In order to get a faster rpm drop in between shifts and some more pops, bangs and flames I deleted the decel valve from my 965. I understood from the previous threads that all 3 hoses need to be plugged. The smallest hose is running from the BOV to the left side of the decel valve, but in between is a T-piece and an extension runs from there to the throttle body. shall I leave the hose from the BOV connected to the throttle body or not?
Thanks in advance ![]() Last edited by gogomobil; 12-19-2008 at 07:54 AM.. |

Definitely. The Bypass Valve will not operate unless actuated by manifold vacuum. Compressor stall and even badder things can happen if the bypass valve is disabled.
