Wish I had a scanner for this but anyway
Subject:Part -load surging Model 911 turbo group 25 part identifier 2587 number 77-03 engine surging at part throttle under load (similar to ignition misfiring) can be caused by a leaking intake minifold gasket.(total of 12 gaskets go above and below intermediate flange) replace gasket or gaskets as required part required:gasket part number 930 110 197 01 note: there are 12 identical gaskets-6 between intake manifold and intermediate flanges; 6 between intermidiate flanges and heads. any of these,if leaking ,could cause erratic engine performance. Hope this my problem! and hope this clears up your problems! Pete

Leaking phenolic blocks can cause a multitude of symptoms.
Check/tighten each injector block before going to the trouble of changing gaskets.

I recently purchased a carrera 3.2 with a bad missfire and it turned out to be inlet manifold gaskets...
This could be your problem however as advised above i would try and re-torque first and maybe test for leaks at each one before you go ahead and strip down!! Link below is for 3.2 carrera engine.. Similar set up in the 930 apart from the injectors are located also in the blocks. I believe they can crack,,not so sure they would warp though. 1988 3.2 carrera engine bad missfire,HELP!!

had some small cracks but nothing real bad, the valves in these heads are huge. no gaskets wiped and manifold was tight

Yes, the phenolic blocks regularly crack with age/heat. If they are not loose and you have to tear it down then inspect each block for cracks larger than the typical small spider viens.

Yeah you would possibly get a missfire on low boost, light throttle etc if the fractures are all the way through!
