Shameless Plug and Shout Out to Our Host

My little cottage industry had a growth spurt this week. A couple of long awaited events came together at the same time.

- Our host has picked up the core products in my line of 930 exhaust components, and
- My local partner and I now have the facilities and manpower to offer installation and restoration services for air cooled Porsches.

This has been a lot of work and a long time coming. My long distance partner, Ben with M&K, has been a tremendous help; could not do it without him.

Our first installation was for a local '73RS clone owner who purchased a set of SSIs and an M&K muffler from Pelican Parts. Really woke up his 3.2L Carrera engine in an already quick car.

Here is the link to Pelican and a few pictures of our first installation. My wife used to say I was working at night and on the weekends, now she sais I'm off to play. Gotta love it!

Nice work

Brian,

Glad to hear you are doing well in these hard times. And you are working with both Boardwell's across the country which is great. Keep up the quality and you will never have to look back.

Thank you!

The property is owned by my local partner. Two complementary companies will run out of it; RarlyL8 Motorsports and Continental Classics. My focus is 911/930 exhaust systems and his focus is restoration. All of us involved are old school pay-as-you-go so we should be in good shape to weather the crappy economy.

very cool Brian Glad to see that worked out well for you. I also had a local friend of mine just do the same thing (less the 930 line of exhaust) About 20 minutes from me With the same thoughts as you. I think both of you should weather the storm well. Now sometime I will have to drive down and we could do a tech session and finally meet face to face

Great for you...Good Luck!!!

Hey by the way, I bought one of your Zorks for my 930 when you started making them, and I love it. My only issue is getting on and off the trailer with a very low track setup, it scrapes pretty bad. I also once needed a flatbed after abreakdoen and had a real tough time getting it loaded without real scrapage. iI know it isn't the traditional 934/935 look, but I am gong to cut my end on an angle "blogna tip" style and it will always clear. Ever thought of offering them like that ans an option, Iknow lot's of guys use them on lowered track cars and might have the same issue. I want to maintain the top line so as notcto melt the bumper but trimming the bottom 1/2 won't effect that.

You should make the tip look like one of the GT-3rs cars that are racing in the Rolex series.. I have a pic if you are interested... might give you more ground clearance

Yes the Zork is not very compatible with car haulers. What I did with mine was beat it mercilessly with a hammer until flat oval instead of round, ha! I thought about a through-the -valance-Zork but did not know how well it would sell; may revisit that sometime. THE big deal right now is preparing the headers for mass production. They'll be the only 321 headers on the market that I know of so should be a hit.

The new shop is strictly for mechanic work and restorations. R&D, assembly and shipping of my exhaust products will remain at my shop. Much easier to work nights and weekends as well as run out and throw a package together immediately if need be.

Congrats Brian! I recently turned down a job offer in Huntsville and if things were different I would have loved to move there and get to hang out and support your business.

I spent several weekends in Huntsville over the past 6months.

Once again congrats to you.

Regards - Yasin

Congratulations Brian. It's good that you are passionate about what you are doing.

Are you going to make your own headers from scratch or are you going to use the SSI's?

Yasin you should give me a holler next time in town, I can show you some awsome Porsches!

I do design, assembly, final QC, minor polishing, installation, shipping and customer service.
Ben handles the manufacturing which is procurement, fixturing, welding and polish.
This arrangement has worked very well for us.

Headers are same, my design and Ben's magic. Hope to have them ready for production by summer:
