Temperature switch, wire connection
Forgot the wire connection :-(
Where does the red and yellow wire go on the temperature switch on my 930? ![]()

I think one is ground, and the other is hot. Since that temp switch will open/close (like a relay) in response to engine temperature alone - whether or not the wires are connected to it - all it's doing is breaking a circuit. With that said, it shouldn't matter which side of the switch has the yellow wire or the red wire....I think. Unless the connectors themselves are different sizes, then it would be self-evident.
That's just uninformed logic talking. See what others have to say as well.

Thanks Mark,
Actually looking closer I see that there is only one way it will fit due to the different size on the connectors :-( Did not see that yesterday. For info: Yellow to right and red to the left on the picture above

From what I recall (and don't hold me to it) the spades are two different sizes. I think the red one was larger and went on the larger side.

What does that switch control? I just picked up a Euro 930 and nothing is connected to that switch.
