Lincoln, you've got one bigazz backing group for support.
We know this will be good, I can feel it.

Today has been a good day, so will tomorrow.
I have been touring the mountains surrounding Monterey, cali, and stopped by Laguna which will be about ten minutes from where I'll live coming this summer.
Can't you hear it? The roar it's there. Tomorrow will be nuts - epic.

I've got a cold one on standby Lincoln. Keep us posted with a couple pics,...... of the tire tracks!

I suspect a few of us will be celebrating.

Lincoln - I have not met you in person (yet!) but I have read this epic thread - and just wanted to say you - and everybody involved in the project - deserve for this to be done - so you can get back to driving the $hit out of that car and Chris at TK can move on to new projects. I can't wait to hear an update tomorrow - I'm sure lots of guys will be checking several times tomorrow. Good luck - fingers crossed baby!!

It should be time. He should be there admiring the work. Nothing like it. Oh yes there is! Christmas when you're 7 years old.

You may be familiar with Dante's Divine Comedy, an epic poem written sometime between 1308 and 1321 and which has three parts: Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso (Paradise). The story tells of Dante's journey through the three realms of the dead, lasting from the night before Good Friday to the Wednesday after Easter in the spring of 1300.
For those of you keeping track, Lincoln's Hell started two days before Good Friday in 2011 (thanks Google) when Chris opened up the engine and is more or less lasting until today... the Wednesday after Easter (albeit two years later). May today be the beginning of your 930 Paradise!
If you use that analogy it marks Turbokraft as Purgatory.

But it was only two years in Purgatory........I hope no more...or ever again for Lincoln's sake. For that matter, I hope that nobody sends their car to Purgatory.

Lincoln, it's Drew!
I'm sure your on the Dyno as we speak, look forward to everything being as it should. Can't wait till you get her back home and we can take the 930's for a nice long drive!
You'll have to take it easy on mine though, I only have a measly 450hp!

Dyno complete

Lincoln arrived just after noon, showing up in a V6 Panamera rental no less! After another heat cycle, rechecking for possible leaks, and topping off the oil, we got a turn on the Dynapack chassis dyno. Tony took it easy running it through the rpms at varying loads to help seat the hard piston rings, and verifying the previous tune on this freshly rebuilt engine. Total break-in takes a while, but they were sealing well enough to start full-throttle pulls from 1500 to redline.

0.8bar, wastegate spring pressure: over 460whp
1.25bar: a repeatable 565whp.
This is on plain 91-octane pump gas, and understandably conservative timing values.
(I don't have the exact values on this notebook, will post with charts tomorrow.)

So the engine is basically back where is was prior to the WMI, within 10whp, and should get a little stronger as it has more hours on it.

I previously posted that I thought it would "be back at 600whp" or something to that extent. I don't know why I remembered it as 600whp, when it previously had done 578whp. Sorry for any confusion.

It was fun having Lincoln come visit and get reacquainted with his 930, and get to watch it being re-tuned on the dyno. Here's to many happier miles ahead!

I've been lurking this whole time, but that's great news. Sounds like a monster is about to be unleashed! Way to go Turbokraft and Linc.

That's good news! Can't wait to hear Linc's story. I'd be happy to finally have properly built 560+ rwhp on pump gas.

Inspiring to see a project seen through to the end no matter what was thrown in the way.

Have fun Linc!

Oh the entire session was recorded for the evidence file. I hadn't slept in days so I went to dinner with my uncle last night and I was in bed by 2200 back at the hotel. Just getting ready to head over to TurboKaft after some breakfast and I will post the videos when I get home. It was great meeting Chris and Mike, they did beautiful work on my car, everything was gone over for safety, serviceability and efficiency. I have -ahem- outgrown the car a little bit since it has been gone so time to get my house in order and get back in shape to really drive that thing. I fit in the hideous Panamera just fine but there are so many buttons at 100mph on the 202 I can find anything, the dang thing is a spaceship Enterprise candidate, wonderful chassis though.
I will be so happy to get my sled home just in time for the driving season, can't wait.
