Custom Beru length-to-order ignition wires for 930/965 conversions
Hi guys,
I sell my DIY Beru wire kits through PelicanParts, but also wanted to let everyone know that I also make 965 wire sets and made-to-order (lengths) 930/911/965 wire sets, so if you're using Tec3 coils or other coil packs for your EFI conversions, I can make sets to-order for your projects. I use OEM Beru wire, OEM Brass terminals, & even Beru's proprietary crimpers for a sound triple-crimp. single plug wire kits: $89, twin-plug wire kits, $179. ($6 domestic shipping, $15 international) I have Beru Red & Black available, but can also make a nice blue wire set for you as well. Yes, these are OEM-spec solid-core wire sets where you'll reuse your wire-ends to complete the ignition wire set. Hundreds sold, lots of happy people. I run my wire sets on all 4 of my turbo Porsche's. ![]() Email me if I can help you out. Mark,
your statement above; "you'll reuse your wire-ends to complete the ignition wire set." You talking spark plug side correct? Thx

All three types: distributor caps, coils, & spark plug ends: they all unscrew/re-screw back onto the new wires.

So if I'm using Tec 3 or HPV coil packs then I use my existing distributor caps?
Just trying to be clear.. all you are supplying is lengths of the actual wire? What mm ? Thx

I supply the OEM style wire with the crimped ends, cut to your lengths. If your coil packs have the connectors that receive the OEM style wire ends ("M3's" as they're called, per the prior picture), then you're good.

Mark,
I may be up for some, I need to check the fitment of the stock end caps on the HPV coils. Never used the stock ones there before. Thanks again for the replys..

You can Ohm the whole wire w/o disassembling it: 1k for the distributor cap connector (check the embossed resistance rating), 0 resistance for a good wire, 3k resistance for the spark plug end: 4k total give/take 10% or so.
![]() The 1k & the 3k are pretty much standard, but you should look at the embossed resistance on the plug end.

Mark, are you still around? If you are, has pricing changed? I have beru wires and will check their resistance. If they don't check out, I will be contacting you.
Thanks

Yes, I'm around. You should see 4k ohms on all 7 wires, plus/minus 10% or so. Cracking or unusually rigid wires are a bad sign but also semi-unlikely.

Hi Ed,
our host carries my Carrera 3.2 wires: both '84 and the '85-89 lengths, both in Beru black and red. ![]() Mark
