Can I change the turbo oil line without removing the intake?
It looks like changing the oil line is going to require removing the intake manifold... Is there any other way? Can I do this in the car?

I don't think it will come out from under the manifold. I could not even get mine out with a Carrera manifold. The braided flex line is what I now use. Philip

...i managed removing the stock hard line, but i rendered it useless in the process...it was faulty so i didn't care about bending it out...replaced with turbokraft braided unit...happy ever since...

Yes, there is way, but you have to go to a braided line with AN fittings. I recently did this in the fall with my 78. I had to manage the stock unit from beneath intake and simply fed the braided steel line back in. I preferred this over removing the entire upper intake. It took me about an hour to cut the braided SS line, fit the AN fittings, and R&I the oil feed line.
I believe Chris at Turbokraft offers a kit for this. I cobbled mine together, but I'm not sure off all the fittings part numbers. Here is the link for TK's kit. TurboKraft Inc : Turbocharger Oil Feed Line Set : 3K-Warner [930 CVS BWK TK] - $205.00 John

The stock oil supply pipe has a nice tidy routing but is a PITA to replace.
The do-it-with-the-engine-in-the-car-and-not-remove-the-intake-manifold method involves a good pair of compound cutters, like from Knipex. They short work of the stock oil supply pipe. Replace with our braided kit. Go back to driving.
