I've got a couple of cool 930s for sale
Hello everyone, I'm selling a couple of neat 930s for someone and figured this is a good place to start. One car is a Euro 1983 930 black over black with 35k miles and some RUF goodies on it. Tuned to about 350-375HP. Very fast and in very nice shape. The other is a 1984 DP935 Targa black over black with too many goodies to list. 25,100 miles. I welcome any of you guys to come and see the cars, they are located at my warehouse in Chamblee, GA. Please PM me here for more information. Send me your email and I will send you lots of pics. Thanks for your time!

Nice cars, but since your posting them on several sites, are you are a dealer or affiliated with a deal (Flashback Motorwerks in Cumming GA maybe).

Sure would be nice to know when built, is it original to the original build, who did the mechanics as DP sometimes just did the bodies, or was it put together by others usind DP parts????? when brought into the USA? PM sent if confidential reply is required. Thanks.

I'm a big targa fan and consider the DP targa the ultimate. That targa was listed on my site when I first it about 3 yrs ago. At that time it had the correct deep 15" Fuchs. I contacted the owner with the same questions as posted above, but didn't get much info. A cool car I would like to have.

I had a discussion with Jerry Woods a few years back when I was considering stuffing a 3.6 in my '73 targa street/track car. He said the h.p. wasn't the problem, it was the stress on the chassis from running bigger tires to get more stick through the corners. At that time I was running 225's & 275 Hoosiers with a 3.2. He suggested the only way to reinforce the body would have been to put in a full cage and tie it in to the A pillars. I doubt if this car would see any track use. Not sure why targas get such a bad rap for body flex, but that's another discussion.
I agree, without a DP build sheet the history of the car is pretty sketchy.

From my driving them, both targa and convertible need a roll cage or other reinforcement to feel as tight as a coupe. The factory did not make a turbo targa or convertible untill 1987 and only after they had reengineered the chassis, for the additional stress realted to the cars capabilities.

The presentation seems to parse words, such as "only 3 DP targas built" however not saying this is one of them. At only $60 k for a real DP targa, if originally built at DP in the 80s, originally built with a quality 480 HP motor along with the suspension and body upgrades ( documented with build sheet, and after who would loose or throw away or not get one if missing on such an expensive and hard to get car ) and 25K original miles would be a fantastic deal.

I looked at and rode in both cars Monday. There was a lot of paperwork on both cars. I didn't go over the paperwork in detail on the DP, but there was paperwork from DP. All I know is i can't afford it unless I sell all the other cars, so i didn't scrutinize it.

I just read the ad on Cl in Atlanta and it does say a DP Body Kit. Well now, that would indicate it was built elsewhere. Still might be well done and a great car to own if well done. Certainly is a great looking car.

So according to the CL ad, the RUF 930 has 450 HP, but here it's only 375?

450 is an even 20% more than 375 so maybe 450CHP = 375WHP.
Even if the DP is a kit it looks to be very well executed and worth a premium to the right buyer. I'd kill to have a DP coupe.
