My 930 Slant has a "Yellowbird" style bumper, but unlike the Yellowbird itself, it doesn't have the rubber lip underneath. Does my car need that rubber lip or is the bumper itself already a front spoiler? The front end of my car also feels light whenever I accelerate, so I think I have some amount of lift at the front, but would there be any significant difference if I was to add the rubber lip?
Here's the clearest photo I have of the front of my car for a better visualization of the bumper (with a Speedster ![]() ![]() Thanks,

I have the same spoiler. My car is too low for the lip... Wouldn't last 1k miles in Louisiana... And, I like driving mine - - just got back from a night out in it as I type...

Though you may not like it, I have a black conveyor belt as a front spoiler on my CTR type bumper. You can cut it so nobody knows it came from tractor supply co, seriously.
![]() It is flexible and works fine

Would it flap around at speed?

In that case, I think my car may be too low for the lip as well because whenever the road is uneven and I don't drive slow enough, some brackets at the bottom of the bumper scrape the ground, but fortunately it doesn't mess up my paint.

I bet that would be your tow hooks underneath. Mine scrape on my driveway from time to time.

It doesn't flap. It is heavy duty, and I have used a flat piece of alu to reinforce it on the backside where it mounts to the bumper.

here is my before pic of the front with no lip. I tried two options.
![]() 1) i tried modifying as lip from an SC. I found it was too deep and positioned too far back. this caused scrapping and was too low for my liking. 2) the next lip i tried was from an early VW Jetta. It positions a little higher and farther forward than the SC. This worked for me. pic of jetta lip below ![]() the last pic shows the lip from the back side. it does not lower the overall very much and scrapping is minimal. ![]() this lip reduced the front end lift.

I mounted it with hardware from an SC. I will check after work today for the serial number on the back of the part and post it.

i have a ruf yellowbird front spoiler with the rubber underlip. it is a little bit different than the one on your car. i have never run the car without the lip so i dont know if it makes a difference. as is, it seems to work fine for some moderately high speeds!

I believe you do, to compensate for the rear spoiler; however, some people think that the slant configuration creates enough down force so the chin spoiler is not need it. Again I believe you do, in addition that it dresses the whole front of the car. M2c.
