No Paul, no Shannon for the drive. A bummer indeed. :P
|
Murphy's Law is in full effect.
Turbo pukes. FedEx overnight (have you priced this??? HOLY SH--) turbo to rebuilder on opposite coast. Rebuilder rebuilds turbo in record time. Rebuilder ships turbo from east coast to west coast using FedEx GROUND. No way to recall the turbo - gotta let it ride. 5 business days until arrival, which means... 4 calendar days before planned departure for Rennsport. The Universe is fully welcome to go <enter grotesque act here> itself. |
Total FML moment when he told me that. I'm so sorry.
|
Chris, all I can do is chuckle - it's nobody's fault. All we can do is move forward on this brave new course. :)
But yeah, FML describes my initial thoughts. |
Funny how no matter the planning, trying to get a machine ready for a certain date always involves a serious, last minute hump-fest. I raced motorcycles for 10 years, and no matter what I did, prior to each event (about 10 each year), I was pulling all-nighters, or 3 hour sleepers, for several days prior.
Good luck with the time-crunch, Kenik, and BTW, your engine compartment fuse/relay panel looks soooooooooooo stock (NOT) - ha ha!!! :D |
Ronnie, it'll look great underneath the cover. ;)
|
Fuggen', hidden high performance, MF!!!
I think you should efff that "stock" ruse and let the car rock out with its cawk out, bro!!!! :D |
The only thing that will be completely and visually non-stock is the Teflon passenger seat. This ensures that I can clean the sharts off of the seat, from the people who come for a ride in a "stock" car.
|
Sweet, but with Teflon, watch out for flying sharts at the moment of expulsion! Might need to wear goggles when you have a passenger along!
|
I'll only scare people on sharp left handers, with the door open.
|
Sounds like a wise plan; don't want to have a shart eating grin on yer mug - literally!
|
Car is now live with a non-puking turbo. Comic interlude at 0:48.

nice! It's allllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!!!
(couldn't help but feel like Ronknees there takin one in the face - he's no dodger!) |
^^^
Everyone should be treated to a facial from time to time, right?!?! Excellent about the turbo fix, Kenik, BUTT that stock intercooler sure looks out of place (aka - lame) surrounded by all that decidedly non-stock goodness on display in that thar engine bay! Reach down, nutt up, and install the Garretson, bub!!! :D |
Ronnie, the Garretson will be back on shortly.
|
Kenik, your AFR says VE does it mean very efficient : )
Sounds very meaty. I will also try my new zork after I get my MOT done. Sorry neighbours. I intend to drill it for a valve though so I can tone it down some on my home area. |
It really isn't that loud. And I like the 7006. I know some of you like turbo whine, but I like how the 7006 sounds very NA.
|
Very nice. I know you will love it.
|
My holset with #18 turbine housing with zork is LOUD.
I went from this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmvyscXRCNU to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1GG2t8xn7M because GSF forgot the AFR bung I need for checking the tune. Plus I cant MOT the car with zork anyway but I just had to test it first. |
Congratulations Kenik, sounds great. Now get out and tear up the town :D
