I think i would make it myself Havent recived the new ic, and i dont have my car here with me.
Do you guys have the dimension of the throttlebody without the old system and also the dimension on both the inlet and outlet on the Intercooler? The area with o-rings. Tried to find the dimension of the o-rings but i cant find it.

And also the dimension of the threads on the boost switch if any of you guys know it

Thanks!

It is probably easier to just cut off that part of your existing intermediate manifold aka BOC housing and weld a plate over the end.

I know it would be easier to just cut the old thing and get someone to weld it yes, but i would like to keep my stock parts just in case.

I really like that adapter you made boosted79, so hopefully i can make something similar to that

You can leave your original cast magnesium intermediate manifold/blow off recirculation manifold in place and just disable it by removing the long spring inside behind the piston and replace it with a piece of PVC pipe to keep it shut.
A piece of broom handle or electrical conduit would work too.

Might be a good idea to replace the two seals under the two cast aluminum end pieces if they are dry rotted. After 20+ years they probably will be.
Doing that will let you keep and use the short neck intercooler you have.

For the black rubber factory elbow hose with the 1" diameter 964 turbo recirculation valve fitting on top you can get it cheaper from some Porsche dealers than anywhere else.. and somebody posted they have one to sell above.

Had I to do it again - I would just spring for a long neck.

How would that effect lag?

It doesn't much.
You still have the problem of that housing's volume, and that air leaks around the factory piston even if you replace the end plate seals.

Buy a damaged factory boost recirc housing and and modify it, or convert your own IC to longneck, or purchase a finished bolt-on package.

The C2 type blow off valve reacts faster during quick off on full throttle movements while up shifting. It seemed that way when I changed from the big heavy original one to an after market 964 turbo type recirculation valve that uses a 1" aluminum piston and spring.
You can put washers under the spring to shim it if wanted.

I was wondering about shimming the spring, what does that do?

It depends on several things including what altitude you live at. Best to just try it and feel the changes while watching the tach. Washers for shims are cheap, plastic ones weigh less, and you would need an after market aluminum blow off valve that can be taken apart.

My shop is 4800 foot above sea level, and thats usually where i drive the car and then climbs to around 6.I do notice quite a power loss compared to where i used to live right at sea level.

Probably best to get one from Turbokraft. They know what works best on these cars.

If you know what to look for and want to experiment there's an endless supply of low grade recirculation type valves and vent to atmosphere Asian blow off valve copies on ebay.

For something solid and reliable that will fit right and last a long time you'll be best off if you call Chris at Turbokraft and buy one from him.

I have now changed out my old IC with a Andial IC, and also changed out the blow of valve to a new type. Tried to put the vacum line on the same hose as the decel valve, but it doesn`t seems to work good. Where have you taken vacum for the bov?

I am also thinking about removing the decel valve since i have very high idle when the car is warm, and i have read that the decel valve could be the problem? Will there be a different problems than more crackle and popping in the exhaust?
Thanks!

Just build an airtight room, replace the air with argon, and weld away in safety. That's how the Russians made magnesium subs.

We can weld Magnesium, or anything else for that matter. For the modded 930 BOV I use JB Weld, easy and works perfectly.
