I have what Kenik suggested. I like it. There are other good ones too, of course.
Are you in zip code 07845? If so, I am like 10 mins from you in Mt. Arlington. Would be happy to get together to show you what I have and how it works on my 88.

Something to keep in mind is most of these are installed in front engine cars and the cable is around 8 feet long so you need to buy one that has a much longer plug in cable available so you can install it in a rear engine car.
The wideband oxygen sensor for it should be installed after the turbo according to instructions that come with it. Exhaust back pressure in the headers can distort wideband AFR readings if it's mounted before the turbo and if the O2 sensor ever had any pieces burn or break off you don't want them going through the spinning turbo. When I had a 930 I installed one of these Innovate AFR gauges with the longer Innovate cable they make for it. They come with white and black bezels and face plates so you can use whatever looks best in your car. Never had any problems with it and it always worked well. Looks like the price has gone up a bit since I bought one and ebay sellers may have the lowest price. |

Yes Jim, the cable length is certainly something to be sure about when purchasing. I mounted the PLX controller boxes under the driver's seat and all the stock cable lengths (to the display unit and to the Bosch sensor) were long enough for me. I assume that isn't always the case, and would depend on where the controllers are mounted too.

That's good to know. The innovate controller is built into the gauge so nothing else to find a place for other than the long cable.
I think I looped the innovate's extension cable length around in a circle under the passenger seat. |

Have the PLX here too and love it... Doesn't require 2 oxygen sensors either... It has a output signal for your cars lambda system...

I went with Innovate a few years ago, started with the LM2 which allowed me to add map (boost) and fuel pressure to the standard air/fuel and rpm.
![]() I added a separate board under the glove box. This helped me fine tune the old cis until usable. [ ![]() I then parked the handheld on the console and added their A/F gauge in the console along with fuel pressure and volts. ![]() I haven't used the hand heald since but it is there if I need to record a session. Innovate does not seem as easy as some other brands but maybe it's just way over my head in some areas. I need to go back and relearn some of this as I get the time.
