Please tell me this isn't true????
And I'd like to add that I have a huge amount of respect for anyone willing to take on the task of developing and manufacturing ANY component with the goal of improving these engines. It's a high risk endeavor, and I doubt there's any real money in it. Those that do it can almost only be doing so out of passion.
What???? I have been making no money for years???? Now I understand why my shoes have holes in them. You Sir, tell the truth here!!! The pile of tried it and failed gets bigger by the day. |

And then there’s the cliché of, “How do you make a small fortune in racing? Start with a large one!”
I’ve spent money looking for improvements, but have had a lot of fun exploring! Thank you for your contributions Neil, I look forward to reading when there is new post with your name on it.

Cheers

Most of the air cooled Porsches trade hands for silly money (compared to 10-15 years ago), hence they are being bought by people with deep pockets willing to spend huge money on rebuilds and upgrades.
The 924 platform, now that's a different kind of beast.... No parts and almost no one willing to make them....

A sarcastic response is followed by a self-serving lump of implied acceptance. Sarcasm on the page can often lead to confusion in the reader. This thread offers little to the engine builder except the pompous attitude of some of it's participants.
