Grub screw?
Rebuilding my engine and trying to remember where this bit came from. Anyone recognise it? Cheers

You clipped the front code off your linky...fixed it for you.
Plus it's the grub screw from a shift rod linkage.

You probably have two of those. Screw them into the shift rod linkage now with a spot of thread glue, so as not to lose them.

You're suppose to replace them every time, there's a little nylon button in the screw threads, one use only. I clean the threads, use what ever loctite I have (red) and warm the screw up with a torch before removing it. There's an easy release I've used (blue) and it works as well, the trick is those clean threads.

Grub screw
Actually the one to use is 65-68.It has a square 8mm head with a hole for safety wire.No loctite needed.Fred
