2.5 L piston question

Can a 2.4 L mag case accept an 86.7mm piston without enlarging the spigots? Thanks

If you are referring to the Mahle 86.7 pistons and cylinders then you either need to enlarge the spigots or turn down the cylinders. I used those P&Cs in one of my 2.5s and I elected to turn down the cylinders to fit the 2.4 spigots.

Henry... Great to see you back in action. I should have said, Henry built me a 2.5 with the 86.7mm Mahles and we elected to turn down the cylinders. 🙂

Makes a great engine. Cheers

Can’t get a better endorsement than that! Thanks Henry. I have a feeling it’s going to be a challenge to acquire the parts I need: heads, pistons and cylinders. Any leads or ideas are appreciated.
