Tim,
My flywheel is already a light one, but your's ...mmmmmm .I am impressed, where does it came from? Did you drive it? I fact I think I am going already too far in the modifications of my car, but when I see parts like that it can become an never ending story... Philippe PS: For the blue 911S, I think this is a 2.2, I will drop a call (stay tuned) |

I had my stock flywheel machined, this is a copy of the lightened flywheels Porsche used on the 1974 Carrera RSR turbo 2.1 engine and is lightened in the fashion that porsche used on other racing flywheels.
I use this flywheel and an all alluminum RSR pressure plate with a kennedy disc on a 901 equiped car. the machining and balancing cost $100, my whole clutch/flywheel pressure plate cost less than $1000. which is hell of alot cheaper than theTilton clutch setups ive seen. the car drives well with this set up

Phe,
Two questions: Is that silicone or Loctite 574 on the oil breather cover? You did replace the gasket (o-ring) on the oil by-pass vavle? These are both on the top, back of the motor. The only reason I ask is the fluid over-flow on the breather cover and the appearance of (old?) looking nuts holding the valve down. Actually, the motor looks nice! Tres bien!!
