1979 911SC 3.0 engine wiring question

I am reinstalling my engine in my 1979 911 SC 3.0. I have (2) wires that I do not know were they go. They are part of the main wire harness from the engine. They both have a spade lug on them. One is yellow and the other is red with a black stripe. I have attached a few pictures of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Those look like thermo time switch (TTS) connectors (they control cold start valve on time duration in cis motors). It would be on the left chain cover, but I don't see one in your case. Not running CIS?

That WUR looks heavily corroded. Wonder what the inside of the WUR may looks like.

Phil nailed it. Connectors to the TTS.

Thanks everyone for your input, it was a great help. Not sure how this got left out on the engine build. We did a hydraulic chain tensioner upgrade and the new chain cover had a bolt/plug in that spot. I WNET and looked though all of the old parts I replaced and found the old TTS in one of the boxes. I will order a new one and install it. Thanks again to everyone.

"I will order a new one and install it."

Wait until you see what the price of a new one is.

Reuse the old one, unless it's faulty.

Len,

Your old TTS might still be good and working. Why don’t you test it first before buying a very expensive part ($250). I have a TTS tester and could do it for FREE. PM me if you are interested.

Len... click on Tony's name "boyt911sc" in the left column and a window will pop up. Click the "Send a private message to..." option. Then a private message screen will pop up. When Tony or anyone writes you back, you'll see a notification in the upper right of your screen under your "Welcome Len Chase..." box. Click "Private Messages" to get to your messages.

The two lugs should be different sizes if they hook to the TTS. So you can't fit them wrong way round.

If you don't like messing around too much, send Tony your WUR, AAR along with your tts. Maybe the other air valves as well. If you don't mind taking fuel pressure readings, verifying that your aar, etc.. are correct part numbers and working as you'd think they should, that's another story.
