Right! Chains and plastic chain guides are consumables. If sprockets are getting pointy, they get replaced.

I will be buying a new oil pump. I narrowed it down to two options:

3.2 pump
993 pump (aluminium)

The 993 pump being bigger should provide more oil. Apart from the shorter shaft do I need to make any other changes?

Some updates:

Checked big and small end on the connecting rods. Bought this tool online and had a friendn print it with his 3D printer. Works really well.

Went with the 993 oil pump, fits the Carrera 3.0 (930/02) case without mods!

My KMS ITBs

Now onto setting end gaps for the pistons rings.

Update: shortblock is together. Also did a small check with the fan and fanhousing to see how it would look.

Question: I'm looking into the options of mounting a CHT sensor.

What is a good option? I have seen this one: https://www.stuttgart-classica.co.uk/enginedrivetrain/p/gearbox-transmission-bearing-retaining-plate-84j66

Also turbokraft has an option.

One side completed. Went together smoothly. Love the stomski circlip installer.

I don't like that option as the sensor is likely not supposed to have that sort of pressure on the nose .

Set the cam timing both sides equal. Added all the other rockers and adjusted all valves. This was my first time setting the cam timing. Lots of videos on youtube helped me.

Need to drill the cam sync and than fit the fanshroud and all other parts.

It looks like you missed out on one of the great benefits of using Supertec Head Studs.
You can install the pistons and cylinders without having the head studs in your way. It makes installing Ps & Cs so much easier. Can easily save 2 hours of assembly time.

On the photo I added the head studs to be able to add bands to rotate the crank. I did use your method for one side and the normal version for the other side just to check the difference. It is indeed faster!

Hahaha, it is from Adapt Motorsport in Switzerland. Modelled after the Campagnolo wheels. Might be hard to see but in real life it is a nice piece!

I'll bet it is really nice. My mind often wonders to the obscure reference.
It's my sense of humor.
You're doing great, keep up the progress and you'll soon be making smoke.

Jesse911- we are fans of the ECUMASTER EMU BLACK as well. Have used them on a couple of 3.2 turbo conversion builds, a 2.7 ITB motor, our Shop Mini and will be putting one in our Radical SR3 Racecar. You will be pleased with it I am sure.

Great looking build, nice job.

Cheers
