Great set of images and "instructions". This may explain why the 993 TT still holds its value pretty good? I can't say I am impressed (positively) with the way the peripherals are put together. Hose clamps on the intake runners? Rats nest of wires and hoses? All the same than on my 3.0 SC!

but your not kidding about the change from super duper clean to and big mass of wires... though i'm sure if you put your 'mass of wires' next to someone elses 996TT motor your would suddenly seem very nice and organized yet again!

since the dream motor topic was lightly hit on, I often wonder what the dream engine is of engine builders such as yourself?

are you a fan of the newest ? more powerful? reliable? cleanest? which is your dream engine?

i have a spare engine i plan to rebuild myself and have been gathering information.

is there a porshe motorsports manual somewhere on these for torque values and timing specs?

Oh, specs you will want to get the workshop manual. The timing specs, there are none. You have to use the factory stake tools.

...but do appreciate that it's a helluva job to re-link them. I'd hate to think what would happen if Photobucket went away - hundreds and hundreds of pics I'd need to sort out in my own build log.
