Which way does rotor's turn on 964 twin plug?

Thinking of maybe using that setup on my 930 but I think it turns the other way... Can the gear on distr be changed? ...I know can do on crank, but don't feel like breaking into case.

Toyed with 12 single, but calling andial, the cap and rotors are no longer made, so they're have them made -- $600 cap, $500 rotor!!

Clockwise

The gears are removable, but I don't know if anyone makes the gear that you would need.

Joe, you would have to change dist. and crank gears. Check Henry - Supertec performance, his 12 plug distributor uses the jag cap and burns-bros rotor for around $500 for both. I think his distributor with cap and rotor was $1500 last I checked, and won't require a crank gear change.

The gear for the distributor might be part #930-602-422-03 and you'll also need a new pin #930-602-922-00.

In order to use the 3.6 twin rotor twin cap distributor on a 930 you must change the drive gear on the crank. If you just change the gear on the distributor the mechanical advance becomes a retard.

Supertec makes the only after market twin plug distributor that adds a support bearing directly under the rotor to insure proper clearances and long rotor and cap life.
When you compare the cost of two caps and two rotor plus belt maintenance you'll find that our cap (Marelli) and rotor (BurnBros) is comparably priced.
We can build these distributors to suit all applications. That means in the case of a turbo engine we can add a vacuum advance and boost retard.
