MFI Eye Candy- Rebuilt TBs and stacks
A lot of MFI cars, mine included, were suffering from worn-out throttle bodies. Hard to get correlation to settle down when you have air leaks around the throttle plates and down the shafts. So, 37 years after the car left the factory, I sent the TBs and stacks to Matt Blast at Eurometrix to be rebuilt. Matt maintains a web site at www.eurometrix.ws with his contact information and current pricing.
The rebuild consists of a very small cut in the bore to remove the inevitable lip that forms in the magnesium after millions and millions of reversion pulses slap the throttle plate against the bore. Since I race this car in stock class it was very important not to take the dimensions out a material amount, only enough to restore these to proper function. Linkages were replated and I specifically requested the modern Wurth ball ends WITH the wire locks so they wouldn't fall off, not concours of course. Correlation was set with a flow bench so when they are reinstalled, only minor adjustments to the air corrector screws will be necessary (NOT the typical drill of resetting the throttle plates). Finally, everything was repainted and the flanges were surfaced. Stacks had the bearings replaced. Turnaround time was around eight weeks which is normal for this kind of craftsmanship in a limited market. Matt is an absolute pleasure to deal with. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy!

Beautiful work by Matt as always. I sent Matt a set of E throttle body's that were very pitted inside the bore and he bored them out to the S spec's and they look brand new now. Nice candy pictures John.

John,
After how nicely you had your case cleaned, and now these. Damn I would have a hard time putting oil in that thing. Beautiful work. Rich

I'd say that was a commercial. I thought that wasn't allowed.
