Engine rebuild after failure, check piston squirters
Rebuilding engine after PO has rebuilt after #6 damage.
Exact issue unknown but suspect rod bearing failure originally. Found this in one of the piston squirters, stuck partially open Might have been why PO gave up on engine as it was said to have piston slap. It had many more issues, but I'm sure this didn't help. Mike

The tubes i think but the squirtter heads themselves require splitting.

Ok thank you. Is there anything to do with them when case is still together? Maybe insert something pliable yet soft to confirm it's at least not clogged at the tip?

If that was in a squirter, what other debris is in the rest of the motor?

I believe the first failure must have been #6 rod bearing -- as the case has signs of damage where a connecting rod hammered the bore. That work had been fixed -- and the PO had the engine rebuilt. Shortly after that rebuild -- he had it torn down claiming it was piston slapping, but over the past few years of getting ready to rebuild this engine again we found numerous problems. The piston squirters were the last thing that we had looked at prior to reassembly and I'm glad my mechanic tested each or we might not have noticed the oil squirter issues. 6 new ones going in today. Mike
