Very nice transmission pr0n!
Are you going to slap on a billet sideplate while you are at it?
I may be interested in having my box gone through in the spring so I'll PM you for details...

Thanks E-man!

Yep, billet cost $200 extra, but while ur in there;)

E-man930 08-25-2011 04:38 PM

I meant the diff cover / side plate, not the bearing retainer - which is a great upgrade on it's own.

CaptainCalf 08-25-2011 04:49 PM

Oh, no gotta draw the line somewhere...now where did that line go?:)

LOL, the 'while you're in there' addiction can be very strong.

Tranmission, sprockets, headers all done!

Headers done thanks Brian!
Tranmission done thanks Mike!
Sprockets torqued but what should the parallelism measurements be on a 1987 930 case?

I've got these measurements that don't match Bentley and I can't decifer what Wayne's book says...3 shims on the left and 4 shims on right:
8mm = intermediate shaft
Edit: Correction not 57mm...actually 53mm = right sprocket
107mm = left sprocket
Edit:Would it work best if I took the 4 shims on the right off and the 3 shims on the left off???

If anybody needs a dowel pin to rebuild their scavange/turbo oil pump shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up. Warning these pins require a press to remove and replace...I can't even begin to tell you how much I like my 10 ton press:D

Oh yeah, got a new keg yesterday...Bells Two Hearted Ale and it rocks!!!
