crank sensor tin mod sorted
Since the 930 didn't have a crank position sensor I had to mod the tin for the plug to run up topside

Switched gears today and worked on interior
Look what I found under the driver's seat. I wont be needing the CIS controller, but I think one or both relays will be needed. Isn't the black one a fuel pump relay?

You can remove all the stuff under the driver seat and their harness since you're going EFI.
If you want you can now remove the upper and lower heavy stock rear sound pads and replace them with newer lighter weight material and the car will loose around 25+ lbs without getting louder inside. Then you can probably sell the stock rear soundpads to someone wanting those. The stuff on the floor pan weighs around 8 lbs and there's lighter stuff you can brush on there instead. |

While I'm waiting for more engine parts I continued working on the interior and ripped out the old heavy oem rear sound pads & headliner...glass had to come out first.

I got some brass Ts and vac line in, so I plumbed the fuel pressure regulators. Is this vac port on the very bottom of the base of the C2 throttle body normally used for this?

Driver door lock stuck
The passenger door lock knob rotates the lock with ease open and closed, but the driver side seems to be stuck.
Could this key hole in the door jamb be the culprit? The ignition key doesn't fit it:confused: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1322620099.jpg |
Sunroof is out
Pulled the sunroof in order to install the headliner and found lots of parts that need replacing. Mostly plastic bits, velvet & rubber seals & foam. Not sure how effective the foam was, but I plan to upgrade it with something that has better noise dampening properties.

The keyhole on the door arms the factory alarm. When it was armed you would open the door normally with the key and then use the keyhole inside to disarm it. I think you had to do it without opening the door completely. I'm afraid to play with mine. |
alarm
Thanks WilltelSmileWavy

Damn Rick, I haven't seen the thread for a while since for some reason I didn't get an update notice. You've been hard at work since the last time I checked in on ya. ;)

I'm assuming even with the windows and everything else pulled out there is no rust to be found? Porsche did do a awesome job coating those cars in order to back up their decade long rust warranty on them.
Now that I think about it I might still have the alarm key around here somewhere. I'll check to see if I can find it for you when I have a chance. |

If you have the alarm key that would be worth a 6-pack of good craft beer when I stop by to pick it up;) |
