It looks fantastic.
What paint did you use for the Oil tank? |
Do a test of the thermo switch and/or fan motor when you can. If memory serves me correctly I think that towards the end of her previous days I never heard the fan kick in when she started getting hot like it used to.

Ring & Pinion value???
Anybody recognize this R&P that came outta the 930 4speed gearbox? I figure it's original but is marked high output. Looks like the set is in great shape so I'll be sending it on it's way for somebody out there that needs it;)
Any idea what $$$ I should ask for the set? Thanks!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1317652084.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1317652097.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1317652106.jpg |
More parts not being used
Here's some more parts I wont be using, so if you see anything you want let me know and I'll hook you up before I list them in the classified section:

Is that a 9/37 ring and pinion? I believe that is a desireable ratio for being shorter than 8/31 but stronger.

9/38 is even better I would think. I thought 9/37 was the ratio that was made aftermarket to be shorter but I must be wrong if 9/38 is stock. Or maybe 9/37 is for 915s?

excellent progress!

exh stud hole stripped
I decided to torque up the headers tonight and found that 1 of the 12 studs pulled instead of torquing, so I pulled the feft bank of headers back off and will drill, tap and time-cert the bad hole. It's a setback, but I'd rather find it now then later as an exhaust leak:rolleyes:

I guess I should have warned you that I wrote that I next to that hole to remind myself it needed an insert. Keep an eye out for a similar marks next to one of the engine trim bolt holes as well.

so the spacers need bushings? I didnt know that , one more thing i need to get done lol.
|
You could get by without them, but the bolt holes are large enough to allow for a little mis-alignment so it never hurts to go for the extra degree of accuracy.
