Did some head and cylinder measurements tonight to make sure I have room for Fire Rings...

There seems to be plenty of room around the head at approx. 8 to 8.5mm or 0.315 to 0.335" in width

Wiped the crank down. Now I've gotta blow out oil passages, measure clearances and track down all those bearings

Yeppers, one of the advantages of the 3.3 jugs is having lots of meat up top for all sorts of sealing options.

The bigger question becomes once you decide to go with sealing rings is who will you pick to do the machine work.

crank

One more thing to consider if its not done is to cross drill the #4 main journal and machine a full groove bearing to cure the oiling issue with rods 2 & 5, we can do that here as well, we drill out the alum. galley plugs and tap them for removable plugs as well.

Let's do it Mike!

I'll bring the crank with me too. It's not a case of while you were in there but more about the fact that I want this build to be bullet proof

Looks like the color scheme of the 930 will match up nicely with a couple of your two wheelers, lol.

True, but it looks so good, lol.

As long as you have Mike helping out you might also want to concider having him drill out the plugs in the cases so you can make sure the main oil gallies are all perfectly clean. Since the cases have been sitting a while you may want to consider replacing the squiters as well.

Technically over time the clamped metal part's molecules will start diffusing into each other and bonding if they were clean enough when I clamped them together, lol.

Glad to see all the bearings held up well in their packaging despite sitting around in the florida humidity for the last several years.

It's a testament to how well you had it all preserved

Wow, looks like a good solution to secure the shafts and keep them from leaking.

My only condern from a technical standpoint would be is the width of the housing casing consistant enough to where they all clamp down on the rocker shaft securely enough?
