That's not always a bad thing. I've lost track of how many drinks and time in the garage I already have invested, lol.

I'm sure that the cost of beer for this project is deductible

I was rather suprised when I found out how well within spec the ringlands were.

Turbo engines are notorious for tearing up pistons and ringlands.

Yep, the oil rings are all really nice and tight!

I think it all comes down to maintenance. You took good care of it and it shows

Ah, now that's the way to torque a rod bolt!

BTW, Happy official tax day to you Rick, I hope you are able to recover quickly, lol.

Your deposit was very helpful when it came to paying for my own tax burden this year.

Here is a video of the CNC lathe and mill I'm planning on getting with the remaining balance for the 930. Even though the lathe can be used as a standalone unit it also integrates with the mill to perform its CNC functions in addition to acting as the 4th axis for the mill. I'm hoping you are just an anxious to get your remaining goodies as I am.

Yes Sir, Uncle is happy for another year

That's a nice lathe and I can't wait to clean out the rest of your garage so you'll have plenty of room for that new toy!

Thanks,
RC

Lonely motor stand

Still gathering parts and machine work, so project has stalled a little, but once I gather up the body and remaining parts next month it will be full steam ahead!

Currently, Camgrinder is referbing the rockers and Mike at JB Racing is crossdrilling the crank, drilling the case plugs and adding fire rings for a nice seal between the heads & jugs.

My motor stand is lonely...LOL!

So glad to hear about the progress Rick! At least when you get your goodies back you can start clamping everything back together.

Is that a spare bike motor I see on the garage floor or are you juggling multiple projects at the moment? lol

Good eye!

I've just packed up the last of that STG1 motor that I parted out today. It had some sweet parts and they all went to lots of new happy homes.

My garage is project free except for the 930 build, so I can constipate on one thing at a time

However, in the meantime I've finally racked and tapped my home brew Belgian Tripel that's been conditioning in a secondary fermenter for the last 9 weeks and man it's good and strong...prolly 10% alcohol
