930 Oil pump in early case, what did you do for a sump plate?
I grabbed an early sump plate that is concave, with no drain plug, but I am still getting slight contact with the Turbo Oil pump screen.
Anyone used one of the Mainley sump plates that our host sells? Looks like they have a slightly deeper recess. I like the factory style plate better for asthetics though. I was also thinking of just shimming my factory style plate down with an old sump screen with the screen removed, and two gaskets . Would like to hear some of your solutions .

I have one and it also contacts the pump screen.

I have a Mainely and it's a very nice pice. Also comes with a magnetic drain plug which is nice. It clears my 964 pump (similar screen dimensions as 930 pump) installed in a SC case no problem.
Supertec & Rennworks also make a nice vintage looking aluminum sump plate. Both of the plates are in Pelican's catalog Porsche 911 Oil Circulation - Page 7 Not a bad idea to shim it down if you want to. Also not a bad idea to remove the screen. As they get older, the screen can sometimes break free of the flange. How often do you open up your sump plate?
