neebie ?

hello all, just acquired a 69 911t non-running been sitting in the UT desert since 91. PO had some engine work done and got struck with a storage bill that he couldn't pay so the wrench took the webers as partial payment, PO towed car back to UT and parked till i bought her. engine is stuck at this point and time. front bumper is off(came with although)some rust (lower sill door jambs) and pass. out rocker may find more as we disassemble. my question is looking to go with different engine/trans. what is the lates/largest engine trans that will bolt up without major work. reliability is a important factor. any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks and GOD BLESS.

69 was a 2.0 so a 2.2 or 2.4 will all fit without extra oil cooling.
I have a rebuilt 2.2 t low mileage longblock, you have the shroud, fan, and sheet metal, exhaust etc, I have a set of webers or zenith that can go too..

You might consider keeping the original crankcase and building into a 2.5 with the 2.4 crank and 86 mm pistons and cylinders.
