Rebuilt a set of the early 930 tensioners and installed them. I want to run the safety collar's but to many new chain related parts replaced that I can't fit the collar yet.

Rocker arms installed, valves adjusted and valve covers on.

Looks amazing. Keeping a keen eye on this thread as I want to do some similar mods to our 3.0Carrera motor.

Thanks Al. Working on the fitting of Damon Josz (Series 900) amber shroud pieces. Had to cut and shape the intake openings along with the MFI injector slots. Rivet on the oil cooler metal air flow piece. Lots of little adjustments but it fits very nice.

Have to come up with some kind of air filter system for my High Butterflies. Might as well use the 2.4 plastic system I have and modify it to fit on the HB's. I have a set of aluminum RSR stacks for the HB's so I cut them off 3/4's the way up, removed 1 1/4" of the stack, inserted the top section of the 2.4 stack that I cut off, opened up the stack holes to fit the HB stack top section O.D. and had them welded back up. Now that top section of the 2.4 stacks are part of the HB's.

Modified the plastic air cleaner housing to fit over the HB stack top openings and then clipped the thing together.

Stunning Mark! I love my 2.8SS on carbs, but a 3.1SS on high butterfly MFI is just nasty.

A little attention to the engine compartment. Had Kurt at Parts Klassik build a pair of their new High Voltage 6-pin CDI's for me. Extended the relay panel to accept the second CDI. Relocate the fuel filter console because of the second CDI. I'll mount the two coils just to the left of the right shock tower mount brace, just above the engine. Fairly close to what the 2.8 & 3.0 RSR's did.

Installed the new 3-wire alternator and engine wiring harness.

Also installed a RSR style flywheel I bought from Patrick Motorsport. Had the clutch, starter ring and flywheel balanced.

Headers next.....

Installing the RarlyL8 headers. They are just over 40mm ID at the exhaust flange and then taper down to 38mm ID for the rest of the tubing. The flange's are fairly thick so there was not much of the exhaust stud visible after the washer and copper nut.

Using the M&K Sport Muffler. Might be on the load side being only 26" long!

Getting close now. A few other parts thrown on just for the photo and to see how things are fitting.
