Do I need to check deck height on each cylinder?
As the title says- do I need to check deck height on each cylinder? I have a magnesium case which was freshly machined by ollies, new connecting rods and used however reconditioned nikasil cylinders.

No, unless you are truly anal.

Shouldn't be a need to check every cylinder, as long as Ollie's decked the case (or checked it at least). There can be variations in the case

Why not, other than spending an hour doing it? If you put it together and the cams bind because the cylinder heights are different you'll certainly check it after you tear it apart. At least measure the cylinder height, spigot height, depth of the recess in the head, etc.
