I think pelican shows overall length at least they do with exhaust studs

Sent from me

Good info sir. I just looked up the part number for the exhaust stud and it is the same as the oil pump stud. And lists the same size. At least I know I ordered the correct one. Thanks.

Back from vacation and I'm ready to go. I think I have most items I need to keep me going for a while. Got my replacement stud while I was away.

That car you have is perfect as is. Guess you can't leave well enough alone. Very happy with EBS.

Valve guides are toast (1qt>600mi) and i dont trust the rebuild that the previous owner had done. Splitting the case and 'while your in there' decided to just do the 3.4L.. cost wasnt really much more expensive if i have to replace the 3.2L p&c's which is probably prudent considering the mileage...lol. Atleast i'm not doing an LS swap :D

Do I have to use loctite for the oil pump stud into the case?

Ugh. Getting my hardware ready and organized for case sealing and I'm realizing I'm somehow missing a cap nut.

Are you sure it's not the regular nut you are missing? I looked for 1/2 hr before realizing this lol.
My engine guy did not use lock tight.

No. I'm missing one cap nut. I'm trying to remember If I damaged it when removing. I ordered a new one today. Kind of annoying ordering a nut that costs $15.

Case is sealed together. I hope it doesn't leak. I felt like I wasn't putting enough 3 bond on but I kept remembering that everyone says a thin coat. Wasn't difficult except for the time limit factor. My heart was racing and i was sweating.

Today I installed the rings on all the new JE pistons. JE recommends the ring gaps in the 10 and 2 position where as Wayne's book recommends 9 and 3. JE says not to orient in line with the wrist pin. So I think I'm going to to follow that.
