I have a concern, If I use xtrastealth bracket, will it whack my Pyramid hugger?
I already ordered new Laser BC-1 muffler system, and I was thinking of buying a xtrastealth bracket for my license plate. I have a concern. I already ordered fiberglass hugger made by pyramid (as a part of group buy from this forum). With the xtrastealth bracket being set further inside of my rear-end, will it whack on my rear hugger if I hit a pothole or a speedbump?

I have the regular stealth bracket on my bike with a Pyramid hugger. Obviously not a problem. When I was deciding which license braket to get it seemed to me that the extrastealth bracket could actually hit the tire, let alone the hugger. I chose the regular stealth bracket and think it actually looks better anyway, especially with the Pryamid hugger. So, to answer your question, I'm not sure if the extra stealth will impact the hugger, but it might. I'm sure R1100Sgoodies could give you some dimensions and the rest of us with the huggers could get some numbers for you too. You are right to be concerned about it though. I think it will be very close.

The Xtrastealth didn't contact the Pyramid hugger that I had (briefly) fitted but it did contact the Bratwurst section of the Vanderlinde fitted at the time.

i'm a regular flavor stealth guy too.
i'd suggest that one, and not worry about it. i've heard complaints about the bracket kits that are tucked in too tightly, but never seen it myself. don't know which brands. by the way, what's right underneath that fender we're all worried about? oh yea, almost forgot. a spinning tire. hhhmmmm...

You're right, 'tis better to have bracket strike the fender than the spinning wheel
![]() Thanks, I've already ordered the bracket. -ChaZ |

quick! get a zip-tie around that ohlins fat chick knob! use two if you can afford 'em. screw the license plate/fender issue....if the fat chick knob decides to jump off, its gonna beat the crap out of both...and then some. and make somebody wash that dang car before you get that pretty bike near it again. jeez!

TDI has been washed and waxed, so is looking real good. it has also promised not to shed onto the bike, ever.
Front Range Colo seems to be the only place i've been where it rains dust, on a daily basis. never wet dust, mind you, just the dry dusty kind of dust. a clean car (especially a black one) left outside in summer will be filthy-dirty after sitting for 3 days- just parked, on pavement, with no dirt roads within a mile or 2. oh well. Fatchik knob is mounted without the Ohlins self-destruction bracket- bolt goes straight thru the head of the adjuster.
