Sometimes they don't quite know what to do with 'em at first, but if your dogs like stuffed toys, Valentine's Day brings a wealth of cheap, huge stuffed toys when all the leftover stuff goes on sale. I have a pair of Great Danes, one of which is extremely protective of the house & my wife - that's his job - somehow it's hilarious to see this really athletic 160 pound tuff-guy carrying around a pink bunny that's almost as big as he is.

My old friend that rode with me in the tank bag for 20+ years. All metal, no auto and still working with slide film loaded. The leather cover shows a little wear but hey I looked better in '78 also.

Now thats a beauty!! I still have my first Nikkormat FTn from 36 years ago, but today all my work is Canon. I love the EOS digital cameras, they are just incredible.

Cool, antique camera day!!

Here is my first 35mm film camera that I purchased in 1970...a circa 1962 Pentax H3. A completely manual camera...not even a light meter to be had. My real desire at the time would have been a Nikon F, loved the huge veiwfinder/pentaprim ...but way too pricey for my college budget. Still works fine, but sits on the shelf most of the time collecting dust.

RB...gotta love the worn out case, nice Canon

Today mother nature really pulled it out of the bag, with an incredible end to a grey day of pouring rain.

OM-1, got it right after graduating from U of Nev. Survived many a hiking trip, cross country skiing, and more than a few times on the firelines in the Sierras.

After having that for a few years, "upgraded" to a Nikon (FG?) automated SLR and subsequently lost creative interest in photography. Then got back to the OM-1 with it's manual operation and reignited my interest.

Cheers, Bill J

Yes, that's the daily view, but in 15 years of being here that is the best the view has given! Here is a closer in detail to give you a better idea of it. I'm perched near base of the Santa Monica mountain range, about four miles west of the Hollywood sign.

I feel your pain. I am lucky to have a view from home also but it drives me crazy some days. I can never get the camera to take the same photo my eyes see. I have 100+ shots of this same frame but this is the best, at showing reality, so far.

Went for a little dual sport with my son today... Since he wants to go to CO. with me in July, I need to get him checked out for all kinds of off-road situations before we head that way. Snow was melted in most spots, but we did encounter some frozen roads up in the higher elevations... i was swapping ends with my TK80's... Dragging my feet like outriggers
He was motoring along without even dabbing a foot. Here are a few images from our day.

Had to do the peach pose... but looking the other way

Looking forward to Colorado in July with my riding partner...
