Gentlemen, I use that phrase loosely. Well Ridemore keeps finding us more and more knarly roads in NC. VA. and Tenn. We had a great ride today 392miles no interstate and as snakey as it gets. Just wish PFFog, Bill Swarty and some of the outsiders that have ridden here in the past could have been along for this one. It was good to get Mikel K out. Always good to have non Pelican Craig Hunley in the hunt. Happy Thanksgiving to all you Psychos!!!

Hope your gray matter can keep the route captured at least until the week before the GMR. But then again I probably have run it already

I have penciled in the week before the GMR to make my way the 300 miles from southern VA to northern GA, in that drunken bumblebee path.

My gray matter , nor the smartest Pelican on earth could have captured this route the first time out. I'm going to be forced to purchase a capturing GPS. MR PFFog if you've run this route I'll buy your lunch, dinner and breakfast, that is if I could only remember it myself.

Dee, While I could still recall yesterdays route, I listed the roads we traveled and when you and Craig left me on Pilot Knob Rd that was the 57th road we had been on. I think we need to run the "plunge" in the opposite direction the next time. It would be great if we could get Bubba's Bikehouse crowd together for an early winter ride.

Oh yeah, I have a Zumo 550 (it was part of the deal when I bought the KTM) and I took it with me once - never turned it on.

Gary

I think Gary and I in the same room planning a route would produce some definite dizzying routes, toss Craig into the mix and we may never stop finding roads and routes.

We could probably come up with 100k route, and never leave the state.

For Thanksgiving, we congregated at my sisters weekend fishing cabin..

It sets right on the banks of the White River which is full of trout. ( Her husband and her are avid fly fishermen)

But the real images are of me schooling my brother AZtwin in ping pong...

Bill, Its apparent that all the training on the mountain bike has paid off. Improved your footwork too. I hope Rob got over his severe table tennis beating?

Watching NatGeo channel last night, Wild Spaces, about Canyonlands Nat. Park: wanted to give a personal thank you to CKCarr. I'm watching this show and just kept going "I have a pic of that place!" mostly to my grand daughter (and myself).

CK, your photos were as good if not better than those the National Geographic people took (in HD). I have captured most of your pics and scroll them as my desktop every 30 minutes. My wife uses your pics for electronic puzzles and loves them!

Again, THANKS!!!

Dee, that game was close, so I did not feel too bad. Shortly after I was eliminated, Bill was "schooled" by one of his nephews in the art of the pong, and sat down with me.

I good day with family, now for the 1300 mile drive home. Trying to get Bill and his family to move out west, help me out folks.

As Bill said our sister Betty, and her Husband John are all about fishing, and he has the quality gear to prove it. I did not catch the brand of the rod, or the cool aluminum case it was in, but no doubt he has a lot invested in the hobby/sport, and he is an expert.

Since my son Matthew and I have had little luck catching fish in AZ, John took us to a fishing area for kids near a fish hatchery. There were a lot of fish in the water, and it was pretty easy, so I think Matthew now has a false impression of how easy it is to catch fish.

Here is Matthew with his uncle John reeling one in.

Here he is with one of his fish.

Nothing unusual here, just dinner for 16 at the brother-in-law's house and my daughter was on pie duty again.

I ate too much, again.

Black Friday, mid-morning, Galena, Illinois 2009. Drove the Solstice as it is cooler than we like on the bike. Plus a (little) more room to bring home things found in the shops. The tourist section of Galena is about 7 city blocks long. The town has retained much of its post-Civil War character and now hosts a number of boutique style shops with everything from local wines and cheeses to antiques to hippy cloths.
