Hitched a ride in an ambulance today....
Not bike related though....
I have used my Snap-On air powered side grinder almost daily for over 20 years with never a problem. It spins around 23,000 rpm and cuts metal pretty quick. I have heard of the disks shattering so I am always careful to protect it from being dropped, and replace the disks regularly.... Today I had some free time and am working on a secret project that involves the rear bumper on my Jeep, and a hydraulic lift for my KTM.... I head a funny noise, and felt a tug on my arm..... ![]() Pulled off my safety glasses and blood was shooting from my left arm near the wrist.... Since i was at the shop alone, I made a beee line for the phone and dialed 911..... Ripped the USB cord from the printer for a tourniquet and was able to stop the bleeding.... Ambulance was in my parking lot in less than 2 minutes... Looks like I will be using a different grinder to finish the project... Gory pic for those that like that sort of thing....... Yeah I know... just a flesh wound... It will buff right out. ![]() http://bswartz.net/images/PIC-0038.jpg here it is after the doc washed it out

I'm glad you were able to take care of yourself Bill. That could have turned really ugly. Fast thinking.

Wow, that's nasty, Bill! I could see one passing out from the shock. Will there be any issues with nerves or tendons?
Get well, buddy!

Thanks guys,
Steve, Cute nurse had me play handsies with her squeezing and opening, and asked if i had feeling everywhere... Doc made me do some grip exercises and wrist motion stuff... All still appears to be working... I am betting squeezing the clutch would be painful in the morning... I plan to lay around tomorrow, wife is being quite sympathetic.. ![]()

If your liking your pain medicine, maybe you should try extra strength advil , probably will achieve close to the same results. You'll probably be better for it in the long run. Golden Seal sav will also speed up the healing process on the wound. Yes I am a witch doctor. Hope to see you soon.

Nasty Bill. Take care of that, and keep the motion full while it heals up.
I'm telling you, the workshop is way more dangerous that riding or racing motorcycles. Be careful.
