Well here at 52 degrees north it was a Sunny 9 degrees C. (47 F.?).
I went for a bike ride about 35 miles just to keep from getting rusty.
The motorbike is up at my other place, otherwise I might have gone for a spin.
Maybe later this week.

Now that F-4 was a RIDE!! Great machine for its day!

Maple Flag goes every second year now. No F-22's allowed!

Pretty close to the same each way. Fishing east, skiing west! My son is a helo FTE with AETE out there.

Still lots of good riding out there. You just have to wait until they open the roads.

Holding the evidence for trial might be a challenge.

Everybody has to live somewhere. Besides Edmonton is a nice city. Last time I was there it was late Aug. Woke up to snow falling. Short riding season for 2 wheels.

41 North doesn't compare to the more northern tier but we won't be above freezing for awhile....so it's still not riding weather

Too bad I cannot ride. The PA pulled a lot of dried red and black goop this AM.

Boy did that hurt!

TM-

The shot was taken in March of '03 on one of the passes near Mt. Rainier.

1. How is the weather at Mount Rainier?
Weather patterns at Mount Rainier are strongly influenced by the Pacific Ocean, elevation, and latitude. The climate is generally cool and rainy, with summer highs in the 60s and 70s. While July and August are the sunniest months of the year, rain is possible any day, and very likely in spring, fall, and winter.

2. How much rain falls at Mount Rainier?
The east side of the mountain is much drier than the western, rainy side. Weather stations are maintained at three locations within the national park:

At Paradise (elevation 5400 feet) an average of 126 inches of rain falls annually.
At Longmire (elevation 2761 feet) an average of 87 inches of rain falls annually.
At Ohanapecosh (elevation 1900 feet) an average of 75 inches of rain falls annually.

3. How much snow falls at Paradise?
Paradise snowfall records are legendary. The snowfall year is recorded between July 1 and June 30:

Maximum annual snowfall:1122 inches (93.5 feet) fell during the winter of 1971-1972 and set the record for snowfall in that year.
Minimum annual snowfall: 313 inches (26 feet) fell during the winter of 1939-1940.
Maximum snowpack: 357 inches (30 feet) fell in March 1955.

4. Does the snow at Paradise ever melt?
Although Paradise is the snowiest place on Earth where snowfall is measured regularly, it does enjoy a brief but glorious snow-free season.

I have to change my weather forecast. We'll be 60's and 70's the next few days. Then we get rain and it's 58 F after.

yes, we've survived the apocalypse also. life in the mid 40's is SOOOOOO brutal!

back up to 70, gonna be 75 by monday.

now we just have to pick up all the pieces (mostly some dropped oranges) and carry on.

let's not forget those who have suffered (a guy in Lancaster fell on parking lot ice. he's okay, just bruised his butt).

all the local tv news folks are gathering footage for the 2013 year-end weather catastrophe compilation.

estimates put the losses in the hundreds of dollars. i've heard possibly as high as two or three.
