window problem
Hi, My driver's window drops when I open the door. But it does not work with the switch. I am wondering if one of the micro switches may be bad. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this problem would be appreciated. Which micro switches might cause this problem. The passenger window works without a problem. Given that the drop mechanism works, I assume the motor is not the problem? Thoughts. Thanks!

Why would you not suspect the driver side window switch? Switch the switches and see if the inoperative moves to the other side.

Similar window drop issue
My driver's side window will drop correctly but after the door is open the window will go back up 1/2 of the time. The original switch is good and the new installed switch is good. Thought that was the issue but apparently not. Any thoughts? How to check wiring??

You’d want to check the micro switch in the door latch, and the wiring to it, which senses whether or not the door is open or closed, I think. If the window comes up back up, something is telling the controller that the door is closed.
