R52 how to replace reverse light bulb
Thanks for the instructions. I have a 2007 mini convertible and found a video that showed how to access the tail light assembly. As someone already mentioned there's a small access door that you can barely fit a 10mm ratchet wrench into and take off the single nut then push the tail light assembly out after squeezing the clips. The video shows the steps. However, one thing I couldn't figure out is how to remove the reverse light bulb as on my 2007 it's different than the tail/brake bulb. In the video it's the same reverse bulb and I uploaded a picture as well. Anyone replaced this reverse bulb and want to share how to do it?

We don't currently have that tech article. If we get a chance to perform the procedure, we will be sure to document it. I would grab a repair manual. It will have the procedure, special tools and torque specs. Give our parts specialists a call at 1-888-280-7799. - Nick |

Thanks Nick! I need to buy a good repair manual. Also, I can't remember if I pasted the link to the video or not or if that is allowed or not here but just in case here's the link to the youtube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Cv9h3ic2JI showing the repair. I think it would be worthwhile to post the link so people can use both your article and watch the video as they both helped me in my repair!

Bentley Manual here: Mini Cooper, Cooper S, and Clubman (R55/R56/R57) - Books & Technical Documentation - Page 1. Might be doing a promo on them sometime in the near future as well.
If you took pictures and still remember in detail how to do the repair, might I suggest submitting it for our enthusiast content? Details at the link below. If yours gets selected it will be published in our tech library and you can get 10% off your next order with us.
