Now I see the three pedals.

We had a three on the tree back in High School on the 1968 F-150 of my dad's. And I had a three on a tree on my 1976 E-100 short box van.

.......6 Cylinder, Three on the Tree Bronco came by, it was a no brainer about selling it. It is almost completely stock, absolutely sound and mechanically really good. Shifting the “3 on Tree” took me back a century
Not my favorite shifting system, but as retro as it gets.

Baz is right! Killer deal! That would be $40K Bronco all day long in LA.

I restored one ten years ago. Unfortunately, I went down the slippery slope to a full blown rock-crawler. I RUINED it! I kick myself in the A$$ every time I see a SWB Bronco now.

If you want to keep the six, I have an Offenhauser 3x1 intake running three 1bbl Weber carbs on my '66 Mustang and a 6>2 header that really livens up the engine.

There are also some dedicated 6 cylinder performance websites.

Everyone swaps in a V8 why not do something different and soup up the 6?

Let me know if you have any questions.

I did the mods about 15 years ago, but still have the car.

Yeah, great find. Looks good.
.
My neighbor has had an old Bronco sitting in his back yard since I moved here in '10.
It's not in great shape, but the V-8 has been rebuilt...an automatic trans.
It's all there, just a bit ratty.
I expressed interest in it a few years back...but never made an offer.
A couple of months ago, his niece decided she wanted it and we all installed a new U joint. I drove it up/down the street and the rig felt solid.
As far as I know, it was a gift to her.
She drove around the neighborhood for a half hour or so...come back and said that at a stop light some guy offered her $15,000 for it.

Yummie !!!
.
Read an article about 30 years ago telling about what kind of vehicles self-made (successful) men drive.
The preferred rig was a Ford Bronco. I was surprised.
.
An ex g/f chose her husbands Bronco over several of his cars...302...auto.

I bought my son a 68 or 69 back when he was 16. That was around 1999. It was a fun and very basic vehicle. His had the 289 and also three on the column. We painted it bright red and put a new wiring kit and pretty much everything else.

Sold it for $5,000 and he bought a f150 a couple of years later.
