I bought an AC Cobra and drove it for 20 years. Only put 20k on it but called the man I bought it from and he came up with a bag of cash and bought it back. Pretty cool.

I was going to put it up for sale but thought "why don't I call the guy I got it from?"

He came up with his wife with a trailer. Didn't even drive it. I drove it onto the trailer.

I bought my Carrera in 2000 and still have it. The longest I've owned a daily driver was a little over 10 years. My wife and I both drove Toyota Camrys for a little over ten years. The one I drove was a black 2000 model year with the 4 cylinder engine that we bought new. It had never given us a hiccup and we sold it with 160,000 miles on it to a coworker who's son needed something to drive while he was in med school. It could have passed for a car with 60,000 miles on it. The new owner passed it down to his younger brother when he went to med school and last we heard he was still driving it and it still looked like a low mile car.

I think the 240SX that I had in high school is the longest at 4 years, sold it to buy a truck because I was doing construction at the time. Sadly I haven't had a lot of cars that have been nice enough that I wanted to keep them. Most have been projects that I've been able to sell and do ok, but few have been keepers. I had no plans to sell my RX-7 and 911 recently, and only did so to pay off my house. Such is life.
Funny, I thought of you when I saw this thread title and laughed.

My RX7 - I owned it from 2000 to 2014 when I sold it and regretted it, standing offer to buy it back. 14 years my record that will be broken with the FJ.

My FJ Cruiser, I purchased one brand new in 2007 cash - sold it in 2008 in panic over the housing crash and took over one of the crew trucks (2004 Taco) and bellyached over missing the FJ for a year, wife got sick of it and told me to buy another.

I purchased another 2007 from a FJ Cruiser forum member in 2009 and still have it now with no plans of ever getting rid of it. So 9 years and counting.

In 2015 I purchased a 1991 318is with mods from Rammstein. I have no plans of ever selling that car either. It is awesome. So only 3 years but she is a keeper and will be around a long time.

I've owned my 1980 911SC coupe for almost 20 years now. Before that, I had a 1966 Corvair Corsa Convertible for 7-8 years. I also had a 1983 Ford Ranger pickup that I bought new in 1983 and traded off in about 1993 or 1994. Those are the longest!

The longest would be my '94 Land Cruiser, original owner for the past 24 years.

Runner up is my '01 Legend (3.5RL over here in the States) that I've had for 13 years.

Dad bought a 56' beetle new in Germany (tourist delivery). I came home in it from the hospital in 1957. He gave it to me for my 16 bday in 1973 (with new Goodyear G800 tires and new floor mats!). I've still got it.

46 years. 1971 Ford Econoline E-300, now with 293,000 miles. Bought in 1972 to haul a Formula Ford and all my stuff everywhere. Still hauls one ton of my crap anywhere I want to go, including kids, grand-kids, bicycles & sofas to the dump. Original paint looking a little shabby now, still sits outside (albeit in so.Cal) every night & day. Prolly haul me to the boneyard someday.

We seem to have a wide variety of vehicles kept for a lot of years for a lot of reasons. I like it. I acquired and built my 24 year old truck last winter and I would like to be here posting about it 10 years from now. I actually think that is possible if I stay healthy and the internet is still there.
