I've had my Sentra SE-R for 25 years and four months, and my Fiat Spider ('81 Turbo) for, I think, 28 years and a few months. And I'm only 43.

I had the same car in white with black/red decals. So much fun, kept it for ~ 7 years and sold with over 200K miles. My wife's car generally gets changed out around 100-120K miles so every 6 years or so. I rarely hold onto anything longer than 3-4 years, but I buy cars that are already heavily depreciated.

30 years and 350,000 miles on this old Volvo. When the fuel pump in the gas tank died, I decided to donate it to a charity and have it hauled away.

I bought my first 911 in 1983 when I came home from my first time in the sandbox.. 1970 911 T
I bought my second 911 in '85? a '69 911T I still own it... I balled the '70 up and sawzalled it into teeny pieces and distributed in dumpsters in the '90s lol Ive owned the same 911 for 33 years... I also threw one out with the trash! Daily driver usually last me 5-7 years

2002 Boxster
I bought my 2002 Boxster new and took delivery in April. I still have it 16 and a half years later.
I hope to have it another 16 years :-) |

I tend to rotate the 911s every 2-3 years and the DDs every 5 years but I bought my Z71 brand new in 1994 and still have it. Most useful and dependable car/truck i have ever owned!

'49 Plymouth, 39K original miles. No restoration on this old dude, just a true survivor.
Twenty-nine years owned.

My 04 GMC 2500 HD has been in my possession for almost 14 years! Wow, where does time go?
Still runs well too.

'86 E30, sold at 168,000 miles: 7 years of daily driving. Traded it for a new Dodge Intrepid ES -- could have been a great car, but it was MoPar, so therefore SubPar. Kept it less than a year.
'90 Volvo 940, sold at 260,000 miles: This car was still on the original turbo when I sold after 9 years. The magic mechanics at Munich Motorsport were responsible. Great car. '06 Element, just reluctantly sold with 70,000 miles after 12 years: Bought as a catering vehicle for one of our businesses, and proved itself to be one of the best and most versatile vehicles I've ever owned. '85 911 Carrera: 10 years. Will most likely never sell this one.

I recently met the owner of a 911 who has had the same car for 46 years. It amazed me he was planning on selling it, but age overtakes us all.

8 years this month on my 99 4runner. Longest I've owned a car or truck. Only had the 930 3.5 years hoping that is with me for life! Only time will tell.
