Bin here since 2000.

Prior to that I was on the PCA Potomac group/forum. I don't know why there as I live quite some distance away, but hey, the internet is like that.

I enjoy you guy's (internet) company, so thanks.

No, but when one rolls up it gets respect. Hell, even my 944 has been getting lots of looks lately!

I'm still here after 20+ years (yes, I was on the old pelican forum for a bit before they switched over to this new format and we all had to get new usernames/logons, etc, hence the oldest member being in 2000) I still try to log on everyday and started in the tech forum, (the OT forum wasn't around back then) but I only go there 1-2 times every other week or so now.

And more importantly, I still have a Porsche. I think I'm on #14 now..! Longest I've gone without one in the last 25 years was just a few weeks in between the selling of one and the buying of the next one.

Lurked a few years and joined in 2004 to get advise about a pesky problem with my 73.5. Received good counseling and been here ever since........

Joined when I bought my 912E in 2001 and have been mostly a lurker and a rare poster. The forum has given me so much information both on the 912 and on my ‘79 SC that I sold in 2006. Now I check this forum frequently for posts that seem to have interesting content.

I've been here a little over 7 years since I bought my first original 83 Porsche 944. I drove that car everywhere, but eventually the car succumbed to a drunk driver running a stop sign into the side of me. We were both doing 60 mph, and the car protected my life, but still broke 17 bones.

I bought my current 944 while still in a wheelchair, and was the first 5 speed I had driven with the new pieced together hip. It is for sale now, but I still plan on being apart of this community without actually owning one.

So you learned not to cut your sack, while wearing a coboy hat, and using the free geraror right?

Been around a while too. More reading than posting. Learned a lot. Feel like I know each of you guys.

Yes, a water cooled enthusiast site is really needed. RL is not even close, unless you want 101 variations on the "will this tire fit my car?" theme. But it is all we have right now, so I won't break bad on it.

If you want to have a site for the future of Porsche you may be looking at all electric SUVs and pickup trucks.

That scenario probably fits about 98% of us. Lurked for a year or so then finally joined in 2003 when needing some advice. Don't post much compared to many others but still on here reading several times a day. Will probably continue to hang around until the site folds or I fold... whichever occurs first.

Found this site in 1999 when I lived in Big Spring Tx. That's about 90 minutes from where Early_S_man lived. Then moved to Az in late 1999.
Wish I had a clue about him at the time. I'd have made the drive to meet him. No question.
His Tech approach is what gave me the confidence to buy my '72 with bad MFI. Got it running pretty well....then I swapped in a 3.2.

Not 100% sure he cared for my decision very much.

I lurked a couple years before joining bc I was careful about my online presence.
